The Week Ahead
... key charts and levels
“The ability to change one’s mind is probably a key characteristic of successful traders. Dogmatic and rigid personalities rarely succeed in markets. The markets are a dynamic process and sustained trading success requires the ability to modify and even change strategies as markets evolve. Successful traders have the ability to adapt to the changing dynamics of the market and in the process maintain their consistency of performance.” - Gill Blake
First of all, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! All the best to you and your families.
In terms of trading, remember that January tends to be a bit of a transition month, where action remains choppy until the MLK holiday week is over. Furthermore, this year, things are likely to be even messier and more complicated due to the inauguration. There will be many setups and opportunities throughout the year, so it’s important to pace yourself and not start the year in an overeager fashion that could lead to digging yourself into a hole.
We will kick off the year reviewing the final days of 2024, focusing on seasonal trends, key January indicators, discussing some deep value ideas and much more…
Here are some of the main control charts we will focus on:
SPDR S&P500 ETF Trust
U.S. Dollar Index
US Government Bonds 10 YR Yield
Light Crude Oil Futures
Bitcoin / U.S. Dollar
Tech Giants Custom Basket
Invesco CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust
